How is WPM Calculated?
Words per minute (WPM) = (number of characters typed / 5) / minutes. We use 5 characters per word as the standard. Accuracy is the percentage of correct characters. A good typing speed for gaming and work is 40–60 WPM; 60+ WPM is strong.
